The weather is finally starting to warm up and Spring Break is just around the corner.  But why should we have all the fun in the sun?  Check out these awesome ideas where you can spend spring break with your favorite four-legged friend!

Dog Beach and Paw Playground at Fort De Soto State Park

This is a perfect place to go on Spring Break with your dog. There is a special beach area just for dogs where they can run on the beach and swim off-leash. It also has a large fenced-in dog park with different sections for large and small dogs. They have water hoses and drinking water available for cooling down on a hot summer day.

Miami

Miami is full of dog parks and dog friendly places. Also, you have to take your dog to the Lincoln Road Mall while you’re there.  This outdoor shopping district is practically dog central.  It is a great place to people watch, shop, and catch a bite to eat at the many dog friendly cafes in the area.  Danny Meyer’s Shake Shack even has a treat just for your dog, the Poochini, which is a chilly peanut butter treat perfect for a warm spring break afternoon. For extra dog amenities, stay at the Trump National Doral Miami where they have extravagant packages and luxuries specifically for your pooch.  

Dinosaur World

Located in Plant City, this fun park has 150 giant dinosaur statues and tons of trails is perfect for the whole family.  Leashed dogs are more than welcome and they even have doggy water fountains around the park to help keep your pup cool in the heat. Just make sure to bring your own food and a bone for your dog. After seeing all those dinosaur bones, he’s surely going to want one to snack on!

Queen Mary 2
